Meg-16 months

Little Miss Meg is 16 months now! Let's see what all she has been up to!
*This is what I see a lot of throughout the day. She is right by me pulling at my clothes or pinching me to pick her up. She is an active little thing but I have to admit that she really loves me and that is just fine with me!

*Since getting rid of the bottle she has developed a little bit of a bigger appetite especially at breakfast. She decided to wear her Minnie ears at breakfast the other day! I have discovered a few new favorites. Muffins were a huge hit. Chocolate chip and blueberry. But really, what's not to love about those two??? She also really enjoys jello and pudding and most forms of protein. She still refuses almost all fruits and vegetables and I have tried them all. She used to eat them fine so I am not sure what happened. She still continues to try them when I put them on her plate but after a bite or two they come right back out. Thank goodness for avacados. And there is nothing that she loves more than a juice box and cheetos. Obviously not the most nutritious additions to our food rotation, but additions nonetheless.
*She loves giving a high five or ten! She also really enjoys songs with motions and really trys to participate. 5 little monkeys, Itsy Bitsy Spider, This Little Light of Mine, and If you are happy and you know it are some of her favorites. We can thank Barney for a lot of this. She is OBSESSED with Barney. We had a no Barney rule when Brody was little thanks to Bryson but the ban has been lifted for Meg. Her face just lights up when we let her watch him and we get such a kick out seeing her (and Brody) do all of the dance moves. The Mr. Golden Sun song is the best. It doesn't matter if they watch it in the car or at the house they both have the motions perfected and there is a part that is just music and a girl is tap dancing and Meg totally trys to tap dance. What's not to love about all of that? We predict she will be a little dancer and maybe a partier (surely not though)!!!
*She is not a big fan of toys but instead random things in the house. She loves the random stash of plastic cups and the two metal lunchboxes we have. She also enjoys playing with her noisemaker and brushing her teeth. The toys she does play with the most are these cute little eggs she got for Christmas, her kitchen, balls, and a shape sorter. Oh....and ANYTHING Brody is playing with. I have really been working on teaching her how to push cars around the house. I am hoping she takeover my spot as Brody's driving partner. My knees on the tile are getting a little worn out!
*She is working on getting her 16th tooth in! I can't believe she has so many chompers! I will be glad when they are all in!
*She loves the pool and being outside. She loves the water hose and we go through a lot of clothes everyday because she always manages to get wet when we are outside!
*She refuses to sit in the stroller
*She is an expert climber
*She got moved up to the next Bible School Class. She wasn't supposed to move until 18 months but we were told in a very nice way that she was a little too fat (my words not theirs) for the baby chairs and that she was practically teaching the class. Fat and advanced....great combination! She loves her new class and they said she has been enjoying it and behaving well!
*When she doesn't have her pacifier in she really trys to say a lot, but she really loves that paci and it keeps her from putting things in her mouth. I am sure there are lots of new "words" that she is saying but I am not real sure what they are.
*She loves roughhousing with Brody and Bryson. She is always right in the middle of it all and holds her own pretty well! Not that we are trying to make her a tough little girl or anything that is just what she likes to do! She also loves wrapping her arms around Brody's back and hugging on him. She is such a little sweetie.
*She is still an awesome sleeper. Usually close to 12 hours or so every night and usually a 2-3 hour nap each afternoon. What a blessing she is. My favorite time with her is in the morning when I get her out of bed. She just stands there in her little sleep sack with her paci and blanket and bounces up and down. And then she just lets me hold her and love on her and she has the sweetest smiles. I always wanted a girl and it is moments like this that make me now why. She is precious and I love my little sweetie!
