A Tornado Coming??
Here lately every night before we go to bed Brody asks me, "Is there a tornado coming?". Why you might ask does he have a fascination with tornadoes? A couple of weeks ago we had gone to bed and I had the news turned on. Gary England was talking about the storms around OKC, but acted as if it was no big deal. Then all of a sudden he started to change his story. There were tornadoes suddenly forming around downtown OKC and they were headed down Shields. The tornado siren blew and I started to wonder what I should do. We have a couple of neighbors who have tornado shelters, but both kids were sound asleep and it was 10:15. So I called one of the neighbors who has a shelter and they didn't answer so I knew they had already taken cover. Then my phone rang and it was Bryson's mom. She had been watching the weather too and thought we should probaby take cover. This helped me make up my mind, so I was glad she had called. I am not good about making decisions like this by myself and Bryson was gone. So I go wake Brody up and tell him that we need to leave because a tornado was coming....those were the wrong words to use! He immediately said he needed to throw up. I told him to go throw up in the toilet and that Meg and I would meet him in the car. I get Meg out of bed and we jump in the car (with Rosco joining us for the ride too). We start backing out of the garage and Brody throws up everywhere. All over me, all over the car, Everywhere! I had weinies stuck on the back of my shirt. We head down to the neighbors house and I see some other people that I know in their garage storm shelter. I stop there and ask if we can join them. I dropped both kids off and took Rosco and the car back home. And then absolutely nothing happened. All of that and I don't even think it stormed. I felt betrayed by Gary...he lead us astray! We ended up coming back home and I laid Meg back in her bed (the sweet girl never even woke up) and then put Brody back to bed. Then went and cleaned throw up out of the car. It has been almost 3 weeks ago that this happened and there is still evidence of this memorable night in my car!

The image of this made me chuckle. You poor thing.
That night was not cool! Scott acted just like Brody! He was scared to death and I was making fun of him all night after it flopped!
