So I feel like my little Brody boy has turned into an official little preschooler. He is at that funny/goofy age where he does a lot of random stuff and he thinks it is all hilarious. He talks to himself when he is playing and comes up with lots of imaginary games and characters. Right now he is really into monsters. He says he can see monsters and he does a lot of shooting at the monsters. One day he told me there was a monster in my closet and he had to get the flashlight so he could go shoot it. He made his gun noises and then said, "I killed the monster". Then he pretended to eat something out of his hands and then said, "I eat the monster all gone." What would I do without my little superhero??? He also plays with my hair a lot and says that it is a swing set. Some of my favorite things that he says lately is he says, "I tell you" when something that he told me was true actually is and he puts crazy in front of lots of words. Like "you hear that crazy noise?" "You see the crazy move?".
He also seems to be more aware of his feelings. He tells me that he is scared about certain things....like going to bed by himself. He asks if anything bad is going to happen to him and I tell him of course not. But then he always says that the big black from outside is going to get him. I have no idea what he is talking about. Maybe a tornado or a fire?? Regardless he now starts off in bed with me and stays there all night. I feel bad for Bryson when he gets home! Back to his feelings....he will also tell me that he is mad about something and then crack up laughing, so maybe he doesn't have the feelings completely down. But I love that he tells me all the time that he misses me (even when I am sitting next to him) and will randomly give me great big hugs and say I love you too! My favorite is when I am getting him buckled up in the car and I am usually a tad on the stressed side after getting all of our crap together and getting Meg buckled, etc. and right when I reach over him to snap the seatbelt in he will hug my neck so tight and tell me that he loves me. Wow....that just makes my day!
One last funny thing that Brody has said recently. He got a new toy this week (a monster truck toy) and I told him he could take it out to Huston so they could both play with it. He said he wasn't going to share it and I asked him why and he responded with, "It's a really expensive toy, he can't play with it". The toy was $10. Oh yes...and he loves to tell me that he is busy when I ask him to do something and yet I don't think I have ever said that to him or that something was really expensive.
