We finally made it to the last day of our Yellowstone Adventure! I think we were all ready. We had seen and done everything there was to do! Plus we were ready for a place with more food options and less driving!
We took a few more pictures of the beautiful Old Faithful Inn!
It was so nice getting to have all these geysers as a constant backdrop!
And we got to see Old Faithful erupt one last time.
We said goodbye to the first two terrible rooms we had!
Then we hit the road. We saw the cutest little Doe and her fawn. We were so worried about that fawn getting ran over. We sure hope she made it!
Then we drove into the craziest hail storm I have ever seen. It was coming down like crazy and completely out of nowhere! Thankfully the rental car didn't get any damage!
We finally made it to Cody, Wyoming and ate lunch and played for a bit at the park!
Then we headed to what has to be the tiniest airport ever. My kids do really weird things to entertain themselves!
They sure love a photo op!
Then we had a miserable flight to Denver. What was supposed to be a little over a hour turned into 2 hours and 30 minutes after we had to be rerouted through Kansas because of major storms. Then we were almost to Denver and about to land when the pilot told us to tighten up our seatbelts because it was going to be very bumpy. Oh my stars was it. For 2 minutes it felt like the plane was being tossed all around and it was completely pitch dark outside. And then it was over and we landed and I was so happy to be on the ground!!!
Loved this beautiful sunset on the way to our apartment!
