After a great nights sleep we were geared up for the family reunion. I guess I must have either been over taking pictures or just too busy visiting but I barely got any pictures at the reunion. We enjoyed a nice breakfast with Gran B, Pat, and Aunt B that morning before heading to the pool to swim!
Brody was super thrilled when we found him Rockies shorts to match his Rockies shirt and hat at the Cheyenne Target!
Meg was super thrilled to have a comfy bed and the Disney channel! After swimming we went to the movies to see Inside Out with Aunt B! She got lots of snuggles from the kiddos.
At one point in the movie I looked over and Brody was wiping away some small tears. I have never seen him cry during a movie and I thought it was just the sweetest!
That evening they had a catered bbq meal at a ranch. Of course my kids love any good picture opportunity!
The next morning the kids and I got up and headed to town to eat donuts and find a park. They had some amazing parks and a great downtown area. I could tell Cheyenne would be a wonderful place to live!
We met up later with Aunt B and spent the day swimming and shopping with her. The kids loved playing in the pool with her.
When Aunt B and I were taking a break we looked up and saw Meg and Brody chicken fighting with another set of siblings. Meg totally took her down too. And that was the beginning of chicken fighting being their "thing" all summer long at the pool! That night we enjoyed a cookout and visiting with family. The house where the cookout was held had a Poodle puppy. Meg pretty much sat in their basement and held that Poodle for over an hour straight. She sure does love dogs!
This kid just didn't want to wake up that Sunday when it was time to head to the airport. Aunt B was originally supposed to drive back with Gran B and Pat but at that time there was a lot of flooding around Oklahoma and Texas and she was a little concerned about how that would affect their driving. So we were able to find a flight to Dallas from Denver that left not long after ours did. It was so nice to have her drive to the airport with me and have an extra set of hands getting checked in and going through security!
It was hard to believe that the trip was actually over. It went by so fast!
It was Father's Day and we were all super excited to see this guy waiting on us when we got off the plane!
