Red Thunder

After we found out that some of our friends would be putting together a Y Soccer Team this year we decided to give it another try.  Last year's soccer season was somewhat of a disaster but I figured Meg was a year older and I would not be her coach.....so I figured she would like it a lot more!
The first night of practice was a bit chilly!  This year it was outdoor soccer too so it was so nice to practice at a neighborhood park rather than the Y gym!

Most of her friends are boys so it was so fun to see her playing with girls.  She is so different around girls her age and I could tell she was having a ball.
I was impressed with her ability to control the ball.  I think all those Saturdays watching Brody have paid off!
I was at a Ladies Day the morning of her first game so Bryson and Bumpy were her fans that day.  And thankfully my dad did a great job documenting it in pictures!

Bumpy said she was pretty good and Bryson said she did ok (he's kind of hard to impress), so I was shocked when I got to watch her play the next game and she was awesome (in my opinion).  So I am either easy to impress or the presence of her momma brought out a whole new side of her!  She was quite the little hustler and she scored two goals!
We had to deal with some unpleasant weather during the season!  It was freezing one morning and was as windy as it could be!

It didn't slow her down.  "Sweet Feet" (as we like to call her....anyone watch the Cosby show???) kept scoring even in the miserable weather!

These two girls are so much fun to watch!
Go Red Thunder!!!!
Cooper even came to cheer her on one evening!

She made lots of sweet friends!!!

The season turned out to be so much fun and although they don't keep score at the Y (really people?) I think it is safe to say that their team smoked every other team they played.  Coach Kendra made it so fun for the kids and I really enjoyed getting to know the other moms!
