We had the most perfect Mother's Day Weekend this year! Aunt B came up from Dallas Saturday morning and after Meg's soccer game and eating lunch we headed down to Lawton to the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge area. I used to go down there with my Aunt Brenda and Uncle Phil but it had been a long time since I was last there!
The views were absolutely beautiful!
And I was reminded on this day that Brody and Meg are rock climbing fools! I think they could have climbed for hours if we let them.
Meg was all about posing that day!
After climbing around we went to the museum area there and then went to see lots of longhorns, bison, and prairie dogs. Then we found a great hiking area and enjoyed a little 30 minute hike. By that point the kids were starving and questioning me as to why I wouldn't have packed a picnic lunch for them, so we headed to the nearest restaurant (Burger King) and then headed home. We will be going back soon for some more hiking with a picnic basket in tow!
On Sunday we met up with the Alexander family at Frontier City. This is what Mandie and I picked for our Mother's Day outing and it turned out to be so much fun! Meg and Case rode the carousel at least 10 times in a row!
She also loved the swings
And the canoe
Bryson had to do the Sidewinder with them since I don't do spinny rides!
Such sweet friends!
Brody and Meg rode this roller coaster at least 10 times in a row and the lady was nice enough to not make them get off. They just went one after another. Too much fun. I love when things aren't busy!
That little coaster gave Meg the boost of confidence to try a big coaster! She loved this one and Brody even got brave enough to ride the Silver Bullet that goes upside down! Such a fun day with great friends! I ended my Mothers Day with sushi to-go and went to bed so thankful for my two precious babies!
