All Aboard!!!

Back in April Meg went on Gingerbread's big field trip of the year.  They rode the Heartland Flyer down to Pauls Valley one Friday morning.  I went along and I am so glad I did.  It was so much fun and she loved it!
We met up with everyone bright and early at the train station.  Could Cooper's hat be any cuter?

Her sweet little friend Lauren sat with us!

And they had to have their picture taken with Teacher Laura!
Checking out the scenery.  We spotted some deer that morning!

They made it to Pauls Valley and watched all their friends get off the train!

Once we got to the train station in Pauls Valley everyone took a little tour.  Meg was fond of these ladies!

And then Meg was so surprised when Mimi snuck away from work for a little bit to see her!

She was not as thrilled when Mimi insisted she take a picture in front of the Hot Tamales cart.  When Mimi was younger a nice man would always stand on the corner in Pauls Valley with his Hot Tamale cart and that is where my dad's Ma and Pa would get their hot tamales for their Saturday night dinners.  The tradition continued once my grandparents took over the Saturday night dinners and every Saturday we almost always had dinner at their house and we always had hot tamales!

They then rode the Gingerbread bus to the park and had snack and played.  It was a beautiful day and it is always fun to watch Meg with her little friends!!!
