After we wrapped up with our 2nd Christmas stop we headed to Papa and Nana's house in Pauls Valley! Nana is a fantastic cook so I always look forward to what she has cooked up. It didn't disappoint. After eating the kids wanted to get straight to the presents!
But first they had to goof off a little with Papa!
Brody was thrilled with his silky Nike shirt and his new Merrels. He is a little obsessed with shoes!
And Meg thought she was hot stuff with her new Camo dress and cowgirl boots! Her reaction was priceless!
And I think Nana and Papa like their new jackets. The hat Brody bought for Papa at his school just completed the look! After that we loaded up in Papas truck (including Charlotte the dog) and headed to town to look at the Grimmetts Christmas lights. They go all out with lights that are set to music and it is a tradition for us to all go check them out. The kids were a little all over the place crawling in and out of the truck to hang out with Charlotte. We stayed as long as we could before we headed back to the house!
Once we got back I let the kids open their Christmas PJ's and Christmas book (another tradition). Brody couldn't believe he got the "Naked book" as he likes to call it!
And Meg thought the tutu that went with her PJ's was pretty neat! After a bath with glow in the dark sticks we put the PJ's on.

The whistle is always a big hit at their house! Soon after this we hit the road to head back to Sulphur. It was a little sad that it was the last Christmas we would get to spend with them at that house. They are moving to Florida soon. That house I know holds so many wonderful memories for Bryson and for me too. Once we arrived in Sulphur I had the annual Christmas Eve battle of getting both kids to bed. I always end up falling asleep before them and then have to get back up and help set everything up for the big morning! It's all worth it though to see their faces the next morning!
