Couple of Crazy Days

The day that Kyndal, Kaiser, and Porter were here I noticed that Brody was acting a tad bit off. He spent most of the time they were here playing on the computer. That is very unlike him. I wasn't sure exactly what the deal was but figured it out at about 11:30 that night when he woke up screaming his head off and crying of his tummy and throat hurting. I immediately was worried that he had strep. It was all horrible timing since we were taking Miss Meg to get her 2nd set of tubes put in the next morning and get her adnoids taken out! So I decided that Bryson should stay home with Brody since he couldn't go to school and that I would take Meg to the surgery center. My grandparents offered to come sit with me during her surgery. Bryson was convinced that Brody was making it all up and that nothing was wrong with him, but called to get him an appointment at the pediatricians office. When we arrived at the surgery center I was greeted by our friends Amy and Wade. There son, Owen, had just gone back to get tubes. It was so nice to see them and Meg immediately went to Wade and sat with him while I finished up all the paperwork and paid the hefty fee! She could tell something was going on and got very clingy and started crying when I had to leave her. Broke my heart. Thankfully my grandmother arrived about that time and Bryson shortly after. Gran B found out what was going on and came to the house to sit with Brody. About 30 minutes after going back the doctor came out and said everything went great. He did say that he believes she has asthma. He already suspected that she had excercise induced asthma and was on medicine for it, but she started wheezing during surgery and they had to give her an inhaler. So I guess that was part of all her problems as well. Geez! We now have an inhaler and I am learning more about asthma and what I can do to make it less likely for it to be a problem for her! After the surgery she was a little upset but once we got home she was good as new! She ran around and played and ate and acted as if nothing had ever happened! Bumpy and Hannah stopped by and kept Meg while I took Brody to the doctor. Diagnosis: bad ear infection. If I said the song from Tangled, "Mother knows best" didn't run through my head I would be lying. If I said I didn't call Bryson and sing him a few lines of it, I would be lying. What can I say? I know when something is wrong with my babies. I still love Bryson though.
As if the day wasn't exciting enough we were beyond thrilled when my Charity and her daughter Mary Katherine arrived at our house. Charity was in town taking pictures all weekend and being our house guest and Mary Katherine was going to spend one night with us too. Meg finally decided on Saturday morning that she liked Mary Katherine. But lets just say that Friday night was a different story. Meg obviously started to feel a little bad from her surgery and she didn't like the fact that Mary Katherine wanted to play with some of her toys. Charity had to run to take some pictures so MK hung out with us for awhile. It was a little crazy at the house. Aunt KK and her family came by and so did my mom. Then Brody and Bryson headed up to to watch the Barons hockey game with KK and her family, Cousin Shawn, and Cousin Tracie and her family. Thankfully my mom stayed back with me to help with Meg. Meg did get a little happier when Gran B stopped by and brought her the awesome castle from Tangled. Meg and Brody both love it! Bryson and Brody stayed at a hotel with KK and her family and so Charity and I and the girls did a little shopping and hanging out Saturday morning. Meg was happy when the cousins came back over!
Meg always knows she can get KK on the trampoline!
And then we all loaded up and went to the soccer game!
Aunt B and Rodney were in town as well and after taking family pictures with Charity we went to Gran B's for some fun on the Wii. Meg was so excited over her flower girl outfit for Brook and Rodney's wedding!
We all tried out Gran B's new Just Dance game. Boy is it fun!
Dancing to "Its Raining Men"
Brook and Rodney were extremely good at this game. I am going to start practicing my moves for our next showdown!
These two danced until well after 10:00
On Sunday morning Brook, Rodney and Gran B came over for breakfast before we headed to church. Brody wanted to get out the guitar for Rodney. They all sat around and played music. It was so nice!
I thought she looked so cute! By that afternoon everyone had gone home and Meg and I took a much deserved nap. Bryson and Brody went fishing and Bryson got the biggest bass he's ever got. What a great way to end a fun and crazy weekend!!!
