Big Brody

So now it is Brody's turn for a little update! Although Meg does get quiet a bit of attention these days, Brody is still keeping us plenty entertained and doing lots of Big Kid things. Here are some of the things he has done/said lately.

*One day he must have asked how much something cost and I told him that it was a lot of money. And he said, "We should just ask Bumpy because he has a lot of money." I asked him how he knew that Bumpy had a lot of money and he said, "Because he was in the Air Force and they give you a lot of money for doing that." Not true but they should!

*One morning the kids were in Meg's room playing while I was getting ready. All of a sudden I hear Brody yelling for me to "come here". I ran in there thinking something was wrong and he said, "Meg lost a tooth." I asked him to show me and he pointed to her gap in between her top teeth. He seriously thought she had lost a tooth. That's how big her gap is :)

*Brody actually does have a loose tooth and he is SUPER excited about. He will tell everyone he sees that he has a loose tooth. He also has an incredibly gross wart on his foot. So yucky!
*On Thursday he had a Jog-A-Thon at his school. I made the mistake of telling him that whoever ran the most laps would get a trophy (that is what the paper said from school). He was dead set on getting that trophy. He ran and ran and ran and each time the kids would run a lap they would make a mark on the sticker on the back of their shirts. And then he filled up his sticker and told him to sit down. They had every kid run the exact same amount of laps. No trophy. Thankfully he thinks he still won (which I think he might have) and just thinks they must have forgotten his trophy. I was proud of him for being so fast and really wanting to win!

Look at that red face. I started the Couch to 5K program this week and after I finished my face looked the exact same way. Sorry Meg and Brody that you got this from me!

*Today they had their Easter Party and Egg Hunt. Bryson was off so we both got to go and enjoy the fun. Brody insisted on wearing his Easter Church clothes. He wanted to wear the tie but Bryson convinced him otherwise. Afterwards he kept saying, "Everyone had school clothes on". We had tried to tell him that beforehand but he wouldn't listen. He still looked so cute!!!

Excited about what's inside the egg.

Mrs. Kirk had one prize egg for each of them that they had to find that had their name on it. It was so cute watching them all hunt for their special egg!

Brody and one of his best buddies Jorge. Jorge and Brody like to "fight". He told me one day that Jorge kicked him in the leg and so Brody kicked him in the shin and then punched him in the stomach. He said he only does it like he does to daddy. That worries me because he hits Bryson hard. But he didn't get in trouble so I am guessing it is ok.

They are all so cute!

The little boy on Brody's right is his best buddy Gage. Gage, Brody, and Jorge always play together and "fight" together. I am sad for Brody because neither of them will be in his class next year. Brody will be doing half day Kindergarten at Oakridge. He is looking forward to it. Remember at the beginning of the school year when I had to practically drag him into school? Then we moved on to me walking him into school but we had to wait until Mrs. Kirk was there before he would stay. And now he wants to hop out of the car at the drop off spot and walks in all by himself! But only after he gives me a kiss!

Mrs. Kirk also gave each kid an easter book and then made them each a boo-boo bunny. You put a piece of ice in it and put it on your boo-boos. Brody thought that was a neat idea!

*It is so neat to see him doing so well at school. During our last conference with Mrs. Kirk she had such great things to say about him. He is right on track! He also used to always keep his little blankie in his school bag. He never got it out but always wanted it in that bag. During the last week he decided he doesn't need to do that anymore. See Mimi he won't be taking it to Kindergarten. No need to worry :)

I just love my precious little Brody! He is so active and can barely stand to stay in the house. He wants to be outside ALL THE TIME! I know we are going to have so much fun this summer!
