Back to School

After a summer full of fun it was time for Brody's first year of school to begin. It kicked off with "Meet the Teacher" night on Tuesday. It was a little overwhelming for Bryson and I. All we have ever known is small town schools so this was a huge change. We couldn't even find a parking spot and there was people everywhere! Thankfully Brody didn't seem to be bothered by all of the chaos. He was so excited and loved his classroom. He wanted to explore it all and his teacher, Mrs. Kirk, was so sweet.

Posing for his official class photo. There class name is Acorn Ridge!

He was really interested in the mailbox and the information about the weather!

His favorite thing that night (and everyday at school) is the Book Barn. When they get to choose where they go that is what he likes to do. Such a cute idea!
Getting ready to ride his bike to school. The new school is right outside our neighborhood so on most days we walk to school. It is so fun to do together!

Meg, Katy, and Kennedy joined us for the big first day of school.

He did great at first and then got upset when it was time to stay with the teacher. He has cried/screamed almost everyday! It makes me sad but the teacher says he does great within the first 5 minutes. Plus....he is learning so much! We are so happy his teacher is so great and does a wonderful job communicating with us on what they are learning so we can reinforce it at home. I can't wait to see how much he grows this year!
