5th Birthday Bash.....

On Sunday September 19th my sweet baby boy turned 5! Hard to believe it has been 5 years. I will write a post soon on what Brody is like at 5! We had a great time celebrating him on Saturday at Star Gymnastics! This year he was so into planning and counting down till his birthday party! He also was very picky about who was invited. At one point Daddy, Meg, and Bumpy weren't invited and when Carolina and Stephanie asked what he wanted he said the party was only for kids and that he could just drop his present off in the mailbox! What a silly boy! He loves to be funny that is for sure!
We had a multi-themed birthday party! He wanted an F-4 birthday cake and thankfully our awesome cake lady Toni pulled off this amazing cake. I honestly couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it! She even added lights to the runway that actually lit up. Brody was so excited about the cake! And an added bonus.....it tasted delicious!!! I also let him pick out his birthday party plates, napkins, and hats. He insisted on party hats. I really didn't think that would get used but all the kids loved the Spongebob hats. We also had Spiderman plates and Phineas and Ferb napkins.

These two guys, Cooper and Caise, are about the same age and both had a great time running around!
This is about how all the kids looked after about 30 minutes on the huge bounce house! I had never seen so many red faced, sweaty little kids!
Brody's friend Cooper and his cousin Huston being super goofy!
The rope swing was a big hit. Hudson and Meg so wanted in on the action!!!
Cousin Macy was brave and did the swing too!
This ball caused more issues than anything at the party. Almost every kid there was DYING to play with it. Pretty sure Aunt KK kept trying to get it for Meg so she would be happy! She loves playing ball with Meg and still claims she taught her how to catch! I was so thankful Kena was there and was on Meg patrol the entire time so I could visit and keep my eye on Brody and his friends! I was happy Brody decided Stephanie could come to the party and she even brought his friend Kinley :)
The Kovash Family lives far away and so we don't usually get to enjoy each other's kids parties so we were super thrilled that Hudson and Sterling were there to celebrate with us!
I was so impressed that Cousin Hannah climbed up this rope so high. I obviously wasn't aware of her upper body strength! It's probably from all the times she carries Meg around everywhere!
And despite all of the fun stuff to do Brody and Huston managed to wrestle for a good majority of the party!
What kid looks so sad when people are singing Happy Birthday to them???
Much happier once he got to blow the candle out and eat the engine off the cake!
Love all the boys with their hats on!!!
Miss Finley was wore out! Isn't she adorable in her leotard?
I was beyond thrilled that Katy, Kennedy, and Finley made it to the party. They drove 3 hours for his party. Is that incredible friends or what??? I love this picture. Kennedy is so excited to give him his pillow pet! He had been wanting one SO bad! He has really had a lot of different feelings about Kennedy moving away. Obviously he doesn't understand it all. He keeps asking when he gets to play with her again and when I tell him that she moved away he says that she can't be his friends since she moved away and that he won't play with her not now, not never (yes that is exactly how he says it)! I think he must be a little bitter! He really got upset when he saw someone else move into her house last week. Oh all the emotions of a 5 year old and not being able to understand everything. Deep down I know he still loves her so much and is just sad!
You can tell he liked this!
More excitement over the pillow pet. He has slept with it every night and drags it around wherever he wants to hang out. Rosco likes the pillow pet too. Brody doesn't like sharing it with him though. Maybe Rosco needs one too? It is the perfect size for him to sleep on!
I loved that the party hostess had each kid sit next to Brody when he opened the present he brought. Meg wasn't sure what was going on!
And Grandmother decided to get in on the action too. I loved that he pulled out clothes at first which got the typical blah expression and at the bottom of the sack was a huge monster truck which got a "Sweet" response! That made her very happy!
Rob and Cooper had a good time in the pit!
Brody got a medal at the end of the party!
Most of the party attendees! He is a lucky guy to have such good friends!
Meg getting a little more attention from the family!!!
