Christmas #2

Christmas this year didn't start out or end up exactly like we had planned, but it still turned out to be so much fun! And the fact that Meg's First Christmas was a White Christmas is just pretty darn special if you ask me!

Meg and I woke up early Christmas Eve morning and I turned the news on and decided that we needed to speed up our plans to head south to Pauls Valley. Thankfully Bryson and the kids had spent about 3 hours with Gran B the day before and so I had everything all packed and ready to go! Poor Bryson loaded up the truck in the freezing rain/sleet as quickly as we could and by 8:00 a.m. we were on the road. The roads were already so bad. We saw a ton of people in ditches and saw one major accident that just made me sick to my stomach! I think it was a result of people going too fast. Bryson was a great (slow) driver and we made it to Pauls Valley safe and sound. Unfortunately Aunt B didn't make it in from Dallas and we only were able to spend a little over an hour with Nana and Papa. But, we still had a delicious breakfast (including the most delicious mushroom bisque soup ever) and exchanged gifts!

Brody wasn't feeling the whole group picture idea.
Meg loved the new hat that Nana picked out

And Brody loved his new binoculars

And now Papa and Brody have matching "Life is Good" shirts
