First Christmas Stop

On Saturday we had our first Christmas get together with my mom's side of the family. Last year we started spreading Christmas out over a week so that we can make it to every house without feeling completely rushed. In every year before that we would go to 5 or 6 different houses on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. This was fine until we had Brody and then it became a nightmare. Brody was a challenging baby and going to five or six hours in 24 hours made him an impossible baby. His first Christmas was rough and I ended up in tears and his second Christmas is something I don't think anyone in my family will ever forget. He had his first serious stomach flare-up on Christmas Eve starting around ten and lasted for probably four or five hours. My dad put it very nicely that night....It was as if he was posessed by the devil or something (thanks dad!). So last year we put a stop to it and Christmas was completely wonderful and fantastic and so far this year's Christmas is too!

This was Brody after he opened his first present. It was so cute how he opened his present. He tore the paper very slowly and he was just so proud of himself for getting all the wrapping paper off that he kind of forgot the fact that he was supposed to open the box. The box had clothes in it and he was actually really excited about the clothes!
Although the clothes were a hit, this tool set from my Aunt Vickie was the favorite!

We couldn't quit laughing over Brody and Huston in their goggles!

And they couldn't quit looking at each other!

And Christmas wouldn't be complete without a little wrestling!
Or without Bumpy's singing Santa hat!
Our first Christmas stop made us look forward to the rest of the week. We also picked up Meg's furniture on Saturday and it is all put together. Once Bryson gets the chair rail done I will post some pictures. I am very excited and think it is going to look good!!

Bryson REALLY needs to get the chairrail done. This is getting out of hand.
