The date is set...

Today was a big day. We had an ultrasound, a doctor's appointment, and Brody's first school Christmas party. Two of the three things went great!

I went today for my 32 week check-up and had my final ultrasound. Bryson and Brody joined me for the ultrasound. Meg is still a girl, so we were very happy about that! Brody loved seeing her up on the screen. It is amazing how much bigger she is and it amazes me how being inside of me could be comfortable. She looks like she is running out of room. We got a great picture of her face. Right when we were looking at her, she opened her eyes completely. The ultrasound lady said that she had never seen a baby open their eyes that much. Wonderful and weird all at the same time. I wish I was more technologically advanced so I could post it on here, oh well. Meg weighs 4 lbs and 7 oz which they say is just perfect. We couldn't be happier or more excited to know that all is well.

The doctor's appointment went great too. They scheduled the C-Section for January 28th.

The school Christmas party did not go so great. As I have said previously, Brody does not like Santa Claus. He wants nothing to do with him and could care less if he comes to see him on Christmas morning. I knew that Santa would be making an appearance at the party today, so I wanted to make sure I was there in case he got upset. Thankfully they gave the moms a warning that he would be arriving shortly so I was able to tell Brody and prepare him. I tried to sit where Brody wouldn't be too close to him, but as soon as Santa walked in and said Ho!Ho!Ho Brody burst into tears and started shaking terribly. Of course he was the only kid upset. I quickly took him to the other part of the room and thankfully he calmed down quickly. I was so worried that he would start making the other kids upset. So, Santa sat down and had a gift for each kid. He called them up one by one and gave them their present and then took a picture with them. Brody sat in my lap and watched. When Santa called Brody's name he once again burst into tears. Poor kid. How is it that out of 23 kids he is the only one who wanted nothing to do with Santa. Oh well....maybe next year!

We took Nolan and Bailey to see Santa tonight...it wasn't pretty. Nolan wouldn't even let me put him on Santa's lap, so the picture is of him screaming with his arms stretched out for me. Good times.

Oh this makes me glad that I decided against Santa this year. I had this wonderful picture in my head of Owen sitting peacefully, and maybe even smiling up at Santa....giggle. I'm so naive. When I realized that there was no way in you-know-where that he would do that, I opted for the home picture. Maybe next year....or two or three after that.
