2nd, 3rd, and 4th Christmas Stops

Christmas has come and gone and I have to say it was the best one in years....certainly since Brody was born. He really enjoyed seeing so many different family members and I think the fact that we didn't have to rush anywhere and really got to relax made it much more enjoyable for all of us.

2nd Stop
Our first stop on Christmas Eve was to GG's house on Christmas Eve. This is Bryson's grandma who lives in Norman. She had been in the hospital for almost a week and just got out before Christmas. She always picks out the best gifts for Brody and he seemed to cheer her up quite a bit. He loved the bumper cars and OU football that plays Boomer Sooner!!

3rd Stop
Later that afternoon we headed down to Pauls Valley to have Christmas with Bryson's dad and Elisse. Brody was looking pretty cute wearing Bryson's sunglasses!

Brody checking out what PaPa got!
Brody loved the new head lamp he got and he loved getting to open Meg's gifts!

4th Stop
After leaving Pauls Valley we head down to Sulphur. We stayed there until Friday evening and it was wonderful! It was so relaxing and Brody enjoyed spending time with Hannah and Huston. It was very clear on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning how much things have changed with Brody. He slept so great Christmas Eve and we ended up having to wake him up on Christmas morning at 8:15! We all got so tired of sitting in the living room waiting for him to see what Santa brought him that I finally went and woke him up!
My attempt at trying to get him to look at what Santa brought him
He finally got down and immediately went for a monster truck that he got for his birthday! He had absolutely no interest in any of the new toys (at least for a little while). This is one kid that you certainly can't buy his love!!!

Finally playing with his barn and tractors. The barn ended up being a big hit, but not as big of a hit as a monster truck that Santa left in his stocking. The first monster truck Brody ever received was Bounty Hunter. Just a small, normal monster truck. Well, it broke and I have looked for over a year for another one. I finally found it and Brody was so excited to have it back. It has now become like his blanket to him. He MUST have it at all times. If only I would've known that he would be so crazy about it...I would've never bought it!
After we finished Santa stuff Kena, Matt, Hannah, and Huston came over and that is when the real fun began. They had such a good time opening gifts and Brody and Huston played ALL DAY together and I think we only had to break up two minor scuffles.
Brody loved the OU football helmet and outfit!
Brody never fails to confuse us a little with the weird things he does. All of the kids started off sitting on the floor together opening their presents and Brody gradually started to move away from Hannah and Huston. He would go and get one of his gifts and then carry it where no one could see him open it. I guess there was too much chaos and he wanted to be able to have some space.
This trampoline was a real hit. My dad bought it for all of the kids to play with at their house. And they played with it all day. Brody also got the Spiderman shirt and boxer briefs that he is wearing. Matt kept saying he looked like Richard Simmons jumping on the trampoline and my dad said Bart Connor. Really....neither of these are good options!
Brody and Mimi. If you look closely you can see that he is still wearing Spiderman outfit...it was hard to get him to take it off. He also loved the Lightning McQueen hoodie that he got. He lights up. Since I am not a big fan of clothing that has characters on it (as in I NEVER buy clothes with cartoon characters on them unless they are PJ's) Kena thought mom should buy it for Brody. It actually is pretty cute on him!
My favorite picture of Huston and Brody ever! This was after Bryson had spent about an hour chasing them around the house shooting them with a nerf gun. Hannah even dressed up as Bat Girl, but wouldn't let us get a picture of her! Supposedly Huston still hasn't take off his Bat Man outfit!

I also hate character clothing. It is a big joke in my family because I refuse to buy any! :-)
