Disney World-Day Four

By day four of our vacation we were feeling a little tired!  Our busy days and late nights had caught up to all of us.  We decided to sleep in on Tuesday and eat a good breakfast at our hotel before heading out for the day.  We hadn't decided where we wanted to go that day.  We were torn between Animal Kingdom and Epcot but ultimately decided on Epcot!  Our last trip at Epcot was not the most positive one for me because I made the mistake of riding Mission to Space (the one that spins) and I felt nauseous and dizzy the entire time we were there.  I was determined not to make that mistake again!  We even managed to get pictures in front of the ball this time!!!

First up was to get fast passes for Test Track and then we headed to Mission to Space.  We rode the milder version this time and it was so much more enjoyable!

Then it was test track.  This was the ride Brody had been anticipating the most and it did not disappoint.  It was so awesome!

You get to design your own vehicle from the body of it all the way to the engine!

Brody and Meg's turned out to be a crazy futuristic truck!

And Huston's was a unique looking hot rod!
And Hannah's turned into a pretty pink car!

After you get got done designing your vehicle you get in an actual car that has a front seat and a back seat.  The actual car you designed is on a screen in front of you and the car goes through a few different sets of challenges and at the end of each one you see which one of the two in your car (the front seat vs. the back seat) scored the best.  And at the very end you go on an outside track going so super fast.  So much fun!  Brody was very proud that he beat the others in our car and everyone in our group with his design!

Once you exit the ride they had all sorts of hands on exhibits that you could use your car with.  Here they all are driving their cars around in a video game!

Then we decided to venture over to the World Showcase.  We had one last table meal and we managed to get a table at the Mexican restaurant.  It was the best meal of the trip and it was in a beautiful building with a really neat atmosphere. It was just what we needed.  Then we signed up for the Phineas and Ferb secret agent mission.  We didn't exactly know what all that entailed.  I thought it would be something fun for the kids to do while we walked through the countries.  That wasn't exactly the case.  You had to complete these different missions in each country before you could proceed and the missions were a little time consuming. If you were going to be there for very long it would be awesome, but it wasn't exactly what we thought it was.  Well Hannah and Huston take things like that very serious and my kids were over it in about 5 minutes!  They managed to complete their missions in two countries!

Meg would've been happy doing the craft in each country but we didn't really have enough time for that either.  These are the reasons I want to go to Disney World and stay for a week sometime.  So you can enjoy all of these little things.  She did at least get to color a Perry in Norway!

Took a little break to do some drummin!

And some face painting!

This was Meg's prove that she went to Germany too!

I love how much these two like to travel!  I can't wait for all the adventures we will go on together!

Unfortunately we didn't make it all the way around the World.  I am determined that one day I will see Canada!  We did Soarin (my favorite), Finding Nemo, and a few other rides and called it a day!

We headed back to the hotel for a little rest time before heading to Downtown Disney.  We had promised the kids some time to pick up souvenirs.

We road the boat over and it took awhile so by the time we got there it was almost dark.  We all split up to get souvenirs picked out.  Meg could've cared less about souvenir shopping.  All she wanted to do was dance!  They had a great DJ doing fun dances and activities for the kids.  Hannah enjoyed this too.  I eventually got picked to participate in a game called "Lasting Impressions" which ended up being a dance competition. If you know me then you know I didn't leave a very good lasting impression!  We ended up getting separated because Mimi wasn't feeling good and Kena and the kids were ready to head back.  Mimi ended up on a boat with Brody and I was determined to get a pizza from Wolfgang Puck so Meg and I waited it out for pizz.  We got it to go and then went to catch a bus.  She fell asleep before we could board the bus and so I proceeded to hold a sack full of souvenirs, a sack full of food, and a 4 year old for a long time.  Thankfully Mimi was nice enough to meet me at the bus stop at our hotel with our stroller so I wouldn't have to carry her all the way to our room.  Such poor communication and planning on our part.  But it left us with funny memories!  And to top it off when I got back to open my pizza box and dive into the yummy pizza I had been dreaming of the pizza had actually flipped over and all the cheese and toppings were stuck to the top of the box.  I would slightly disappointed but don't think I didn't still eat that pizza up!
