Meg starts Gingerbread!!!

Since Meg was born I have looked forward to the day that she would get to go to Gingerbread.  Brody went there for two years and I absolutely loved it and so did he.  I can't say enough great things about that school.  Meg's birthday falls at a bad time for starting Gingerbread and so she didn't quite make the cut last year, but this year she gets to be a MWF Elf!  In celebration of school starting I took her to get her for the first time to the nail salon.  She loves all things girly and so she was so thrilled to get to do this.

A little unsure.  When we walked outside she said, "That was awesome" in her cute raspy voice.  One of the many things I love about her is that she really is appreciative of the little things.  She will often tell me "you're the best" for just bringing her something or thank me for the smallest thing.

That Friday we met up with Cooper for a little "Meet the Teacher".  They automatically held hands.  Such a sweet friendship.
Books on tape was a new concept for these two!
 She loved it!
She was really won over by the dress up clothes, the huge pile of play-doh, and the paint.

 And of course the playground!
But it was really the paint she loved the most!
 First day!
Loved how she squatted down just a bit just like I was doing to take her picture!
Brody was starting to love school at his point so he joined in on the fun!
They struck this pose on their own and I think I will be trying to capture this exact one every year until Brody graduates!
On the way to school Meg overheard me talking on the phone and when I hung up she said, "You're going to leave me there?"  Oops.  Forgot to mention that to her.  She did great going in and she wanted to stay for lunch too so she had a long day.  She was so funny when I picked her up because she's so different from Brody.  She had a million dramatic things to tell me and has she rehashed every detail of her day.  Brody on the other hand tells me pretty much nothing about what he does all day.  I am looking forward to watching her grow in a school setting during this year!

And just like I did for Brody here is the scoop on Meg.........
She is a busy girl.  She is constantly playing and moving from one thing to another.  She is still crazy over art activities.  Her current favorite is play-doh.  She will play with it for well over an hour and loves when Bryson and I join in with her.  She loves finding random pieces of paper and drawing, coloring, and glueing random items to them.  She has also discovered tape.  And oh my how she loves scotch tape.  She started making signs for all of our bedroom doors that say, "No boys allowed" and she tapes multiple signs on every door in the house!  She also loves playing on the computer.  She knows how to get to paint on the computer and creates all sorts of masterpieces and then prints them out.  And then, as you probably guessed, she tapes them up on the walls.  She also loves playing games on Disney Junior.  She is constantly making up songs and singing them.  She just bee-bops around the house singing to herself.  Sometimes its a combination of songs she knows and sometimes its just words that rhyme.  She loves to dance to music and always starts to dance if there is a song she likes when we are out and about.  Her favorite songs right now are "Call me maybe" and any Taylor Swift song!  She loves to read.  She will read to herself sometimes but she really loves for me to read to her.  We always read 3 books at naptime and bedtime.  Her current favorites are Fancy Nancy Books, Love you for always, Llama Llama Red Pajama, and Shoe La La.  She knows almost every word to Llama Llama and Shoe La La and I love hearing her chime in while I read it.  We were given some Letter Factory DVD's a few months ago and both kids love them.  Just from watching those videos she knows almost every letter and its sound and she has started pointing out letters when she sees them on paper or TV.  She also loves playing games.  Her favorites are Memory, Letter Factory, and Scooby Doo.  She still loves her chocolate milk and her Bubble Guppies, Strawberry Shortcake, and Doc McStuffins.  She is so affectionate toward me, but not too many other people.  She gives me great big hugs and kisses.  She prefers to wrestle with Bryson and she loves for him to carry her after baths and do sorry (a game he made up where he pretends to hit their head on the walls....sounds weird, but they love it) and then do a double barrel roll out of her towel and on her bed.  She loves playing with her Barbies and her polly pockets in her dollhouse.  I love overhearing her conversations with all of them.  She is opionated about a lot of things including what she wears, what she eats, brushing her teeth, and going to bed.  She says the craziest prayers that always start off with "Jesus cross".  Life with her is exhausting but so much fun!!!
