Last September Bryson went on his "trip of a lifetime" to Canada to hunt for a moose and an elk. Since then he has talked often about when he should go on another hunting trip. I nicely suggested that he shouldn't get to go on another hunting trip until I get to go on my "trip of a lifetime" to Disney World! He agreed and the planning started. I mentioned our trip to Carolina and the Cunninghams were crazy enough to accompany us on our trip. It sure made the planning and the trip more fun having them with us!
So last Wednesday after I picked Brody up from school we managed to cram all of our bags and us into their car and we headed south to Dallas. It was cheaper to fly out of Dallas and the flight times were better so we decided to get a hotel that night since our flight was scheduled to leave at 6:55 a.m. the next morning. We stopped at Babes to eat and it was delicious. I took the kiddos outside to this cute little gazebo to run off a little energy.
They all three spotted "our" airplane
They love (and treat) Cooper like he is their brother. That can be both good and bad!
We were up and out of the hotel around 4:30 that morning and we managed to get parked and checked in at the airport with no problems! We flew to Birmingham first but didn't have to get off the plane and then we were in Orlando before noon. The flights were smooth and all the kids did great. There were empty seats on both flights so the kids did a lot of seat hopping! We got on the Magical Express bus and headed to Disney World!!!
Bright eyed at 4:30 in the morning!
Loving their airplane ride!
They managed to grab the 3 seats at the back of the bus. Just perfect for them!
Crossing through the gates! They are a little excited....can't you tell?
We got checked in at the Contemperary Bay Lake Towers and headed up to our room. This was the view from outside the elevator on our floor! They loved that they could see the Magic Kingdom.
Checking out the view!
The guys took the kids swimming while Carolina and I unpacked our bags! We decided not to go to a park that first day since we knew everyone would be tired. That evening we headed to Downtown Disney to eat and do a little shopping.
Headed to Downtown Disney!
Meg loved that Carolina could do fancy things to her hair. Her momma isn't so talented!
The first thing we let the kids do is pick out their "ears".
I have no other pictures from that evening because this is what happened at dinner. She was talking one minute and the next minute she was done. We walked around all evening taking turns holding her. The early morning had caught up to her. Good thing she got some rest because the next we were up and at em early heading to the Magic Kingdom!!!
