Pre-K Learning Stations

Last week Mrs. Kirk all of the parents to what she called Learning Stations. I wasn't sure what to expect but it ended up being a great time! She first had all the parents go to the cafeteria to show us a present she would be giving each kid. They were these great alphabet and number kits that had game cards that we could play over the break and she will continue to add on to the games the rest of the year. She had put so much time and effort into these and Brody loves playing his games! After that we headed to the classroom!
Meg immediately joined right in with the class. She honestly thinks she is in Pre-K when she is there. I get lots of comments on how she already seems ready to be in a classroom.

Thankfully there is lots for her to do in the classroom to semi distract her from participating in all the big kid activities. And, yes, this is a Precious Moments nativity scene the teacher had in the classroom for the kids to play with. Just one of the many reasons I love his teacher!
Mrs. Kirk led them in some of their favorite songs and then put on a record (one of the reasons my dad loves her) and they pretended to go to outerspace. They have been pretending to travel the world the month of December!
Getting ready for take-off
Mimi and Bumpy were in town and came along to help me corral Meg and get to see Brody in action!
They went to various stations and made different things. Here Brody is making his Santa puppet!
He is very slow at completing his work. He usually is never done when it is time to move on to something else. It is because he likes everything just right and feels no need to rush! I love it!
They were giving kisses and I just couldn't get it on camera
I was so impressed with his tree that he drew and cut out all by himself
I loved this as well! It was after seeing his wish list that Santa had to change up his shopping plans! I love seeing Brody at school and love knowing that he enjoys it so much. I hope he always does. But as much as we love school we all have been loving being at home together during the break!
