Breakfast with Santa
Last Saturday we had our first experience eating breakfast with Santa at the Orr Family Farm. It was a bitterly cold and windy day so we didn't get to enjoy all the farm had to offer, but it was still a really fun time and even more fun because the Cunninghams joined us!
Brody happily colored for the longest time. This is a recent change. He loves to color and he is getting so good at it! Yeah for preschool!
Rob worked extra hard on dad duty that morning because Bryson was dealing with some work stuff. Thanks Rob.....the kids love you!
And of course Meg enjoyed coloring too. She was just wishing there were markers!
The two little sweeties were happy to see each other!
And Brody was so excited to see Santa. He just didn't understand why Santa didn't actually eat breakfast with us. I kept trying to explain that Santa was going to make a grand entrance and he just didn't buy it!
Meg tried to pull the ornaments off the tree like she doesat home. She gives us the absolute funniest faces these days and this is just one of them! She keeps us laughing all the time!
But she wasn't laughing when Santa came in. And we thought it was hilarious and decided to take pictures. Great parents we are!
Cooper loved Santa though!
They even had little reindeer crafts to make and then an elf read a story and the kids used their reindeer puppets to sing "Rudolph". Then each kid got to sit in Santa's lap and then they received an ornament and a treat bag and book!
Shortly after Santa arrived I decided Meg was done. I wanted to enjoy the time with Brody and so Bryson was happy to take her home. I think Rob was a little sad he didn't get to leave the party early himself :)
Someone is ready for Christmas!
I have been so surprised at how well Brody and Cooper have been playing together lately. They do share a birthday so I guess they were meant to be good friends despite the 3 year age difference! Brody can already tell Cooper is a cool little guy! He likes trucks, cars, airplanes, and trains. What's not to like about him???
