Brody is very proud of the fact that he is FIVE! He either tells everyone he meets that he is five (with his five fingers held up proudly) or asks me to tell them. I am not sure what is special about being 5 as oppossed to being 4, but it is cute nonetheless! This post is primarily for me and so I can remember everything about this neat age so you may prefer to skip this post so you don't take a chance in boring yourself!
*Brody does so good at school! This is huge considering our rough start. I don't think you will ever hear me say that Brody is the smartest kid in class by any means, but I am so proud of him for how he acts at school. I have had the opportunity to be in his classroom a couple of times during the last few weeks and I was very impressed with how well he listens and how he actively participates in all of the things Mrs. Kirk is doing. We have our first parent teachers conference in a week so we are looking forward to that! He is a rhyming fool. He is constantly trying to rhyme things and Mrs. Kirk's big thing is nursery rhymes and they learn a new one every week. I was just shocked with how he has picked up on them and actually loves saying them. We couldn't be happier with his teacher and his school. He has a true love for learning (for now) and there just isn't much more that I could ask for!
*He is obsessed with riding his bike. It is all he wants to do and he is quiet the trickster thanks to his daddy teaching him a lot of stuff that I wish he hadn't. He can ride for miles at time and loves to ramp things and go off-roading!
*He loves his Bible classes at church and his little friends there. When he sees a cross now he always says, "Jesus died on the cross momma." And then I ask him why and he says, "To save the people from their sins.". He memorized his first Bible verse at it was Matthew 5:21, "You are to give him the name Jesus because he will save his people from their sins". All of this makes me beyond proud!
*He loves his sister and loves to get her in trouble. He knows the things I don't want her to do and finds it so funny to get her to do those things. Little Stinker! They love to wrestle and jump on our beds. He wants her to watch him to do everything and doesn't understand why she isn't interested in his computer games.
*Speaking of computer games.....he loves them. He is much more interested in them than watching TV when he does decide to sit still for a little while. When he decides to watch TV he really only wants to watch Spongebob or Olivia!
We think our sweet little guy is the most precious thing ever. He is so much fun to be around and it is so neat to think back on the last 5 years and how much he has changed and grown and how much Bryson and I have grown as parents and as a couple! We couldn't love him more!
