Candy Experiments.....

In my attempt to do more than sit around and eat bon-bons and lay on the couch as a stay at home mom.....tell me you sensed my sarcasm....I try to do some fun and educational activities with the kids every once in a while. This was suppossed to be an activity just for Brody while Meg slept, but she refused to nap this day.....she must have known all the fun she would be missing out on. Or she must have known it involved candy.
I read about this in Family Fun. You use Halloween candy and do science experiments with them. You can find more about them at http://www.blogger.com/Candy%20Experiements. We got all our stuff ready!

We saw the difference of what happens to M&MS when you put them in icy cold water rather than hot water. And how gross they look when the color dissolves.

We found out if candy would sink or float

We saw what happened when you stuck candy in the microwave....yummy!

Brody got a little distracted building cup towers

And Meg tried to eat the candy that had been soaking in water
But we all had fun looking and learning
