End of Summer Fun....

To celebrate the beginning of a Brody's first year of school we had a fun weekend before the big day! Mimi came to town and we had a big time at Build a Bear Workshop and Incredible Pizza.
Brody had seen the Build a Bear advertisement on TV for some time and had ask to go. I couldn't even believe how much he loved it. He was so into it all and has played with his puppy, Carly, a lot! And Meg enjoyed it too. She got a cute bunny named Caroline!
Give Carly her first bath!

Meg loved carrying the big box and she loves receipts. Not sure why but they entertain her greatly!
Then Brody enjoyed games galore at Incredible Pizza and some bumper cars and go carts.
That Friday night we headed to Ft. Gibson with our friends, Jon and Stephanie, to spend the weekend at her parent's house. I have never done anything like this with our kids and I would be lying if I didn't say I was a little nervous. Jon and Stephanie don't have kids and so I wasn't sure what her parents would think about our rowdy crew. Well we ended up having a fabulous and relaxing time! We ate a ton of great food and her mom had a ton of toys for the kids to play with so they were so happy! And both kids think that her dad Steve is super cool. He one Brody over when he took him for a ride in his sweet hot rod (Brody's words....not mine) and he one Meg over with his hula hooping skills!
We even went swimming Saturday afternoon.
This pool was perfect! Such a peaceful setting with all of the trees!
Brody went to bed early Saturday night but Meg was ready to party. She provided a lot of entertainment with her fascination with rubberbands and a computer screensaver (thanks Patsy). We laughed and laughed at how silly she was!
And before heading out to church the kids found the hula hoops. It was so much fun. Probably what the kids enjoyed more than anything was the wood floors (they both loved running on them and laying on their bellys and sliding around) and those big windows. Meg sat there forever watching birds and squirrels. I am pretty sure a deep cleaning was in order after we left :)
