Happy 4th of July....
So our 4th of July weekend was a little different and not as eventful this year but we still enjoyed our weekend. We missed the annual Downing 4th of July party (which made us oh so sad), but it was for a good reason that I hope to be able to post about soon (keeping fingers crossed!). We did get into a little celebratory mood on the actual 4th by making a trip to Sulphur for a little family get together! We enjoyed good food and popping fireworks!
Meg discovered air hockey while we were there....sheloved it!
By the time the get together started she was already tired. She was in a good mood until Uncle Matt popped a firecracker that was a little too loud. After that she sat in my lap the rest of the night! It was wonderful. I am not sure the last time I sat down for so long (and getting to hold my typically squirmy baby was an added plus).
I couldn't believe that all the kids were lighting the fireworks....they were little pros!
That's what Meg thought about those loud fireworks. She never cried...just stuck her finger in her ear!
Bryson is the king of fireworks! I am sure that comes as a big surprise!
I love this picture. I love how they bolt after they light them. Smart kids!
Everyone was in awe of Uncle Steve and Aunt Debbie's new double bike. It was a birthday present from their kids. He insisted that Kena give it a try. He didn't think she pulled her weight on the peddling part!
Sparklers are always a hit!
Meg chowed down! Can you tell that she is getting a little tan? I think it is cute! Hannah was there to supervise!
Getting loved on by Aunt KK!
These two have so much in common and have such a sweet little bond.

Meg was so not feeling picture time. She just looks hot and miserable!

Poor Mimi got knocked down by a big dog last week on her walk and her entire foot (toes too) are so big and swollen. She can't walk on it so dad got her this walker. I can't believe she prepared an entire dinner and had all that company and can't even walk. She is pretty impressive!
