Games that 3 can play...

One of my favorite children's books is one that my Great Uncle Ronald and Aunt Wesley Ann got Brody when he was a baby. It is titled, "Sharing with Renoir". The book starts by saying, "Let's spend the day finding games that two can play". Now that Meg is so mobile and I have two kids who want me to play with them all the time, I find myself trying to find games that all three of us can play. Although Brody asks me many times throughout the day to just put Meg in her exercauser or bouncy thing and just play with him, I really feel like I should play with both of them! So here is a current list of things that are keeping all 3 of us happy!
Playing with a small rubber bouncy ball: Meg loves trying to roll the ball back and forth and enjoys watching Brody throw it across the room. Brody finds her annoying that she can't throw it everytime and prefers to play keep away from her.
Crawling Parade: After watching the Wynnewood Homecoming Parade a couple of weeks ago Brody loves to pretend that we are in a parade. So we crawl around with Meg and pretend people are throwing candy. Brody enjoys the make believe and Meg enjoys that we are crawling on the floor with her.
Crawling Races: Same concept but just in a race format
Dance Party: This was a new one today. We combined the parade and the dance party. We turned on the music and Brody added to the beat by playing his piano and a tune finder (is that what you call it???). Brody even pretended that God, Abraham, Sarah, and Issac were at his party, but only God and Abraham were dancing. And, according to him, the are good dancers.
Monster Trucks: Brody loves (and hates) the fact that Meg loves his monster trucks
I just thought this was a cute picture of her. She wore shoes all day today. That is a first. I at first thought they were inhibiting her mobility and then realized it was the jeans bothering her. I think this girl is going to prefer cotton stretch pants this winter!

When people say they have a lot of laundry piled up, is this what they are talking about? This is what our living room floor looked like last night when Bryson and I attempted to tackle laundry. The electricity went off shortly after this (oops...these clothes still didn't get folded). We still had one load left in the dryer. I don't think this picture did it justice. It was SO many clothes. My mom came over today and said she just doesn't understand why my sister and I can't get our laundry put up. She never had clothes just laying around the house. She would wash, dry, and hang up the clothes all at one time. Thanks mom....makes me feel good. I told her it must be because her kids were so easy and that she must have not played with us as much...ha! I know it was because she was a supermom!
Meg wishing she could find a way to get in the bath with Brody!

Future Gymanst? What flexibility!

In our house, we play wedding and Nolan gets to be the groom and I get to be the preacher. Somehow I don't think Brody would like that game!

Love that Brody was so impressed with WW's homecoming parade! That is super sweet. And I am so happy to see your pile of laundry. Makes me feel better about the two overflowing baskets sitting in my hallway right now.
