Yesterday when I picked Meg up from Mother's Day Out her regular teacher wasn't there. I asked what happened and the lady said she went home sick. So when I dropped Meg off this morning I asked the teacher how she was feeling. She told me that she was fine and that she wasn't really sick. She said she had gone home because she couldn't Meg to go to sleep and just couldn't handle her crying anymore. What??? My sweet little Meg who I consider to be my angel baby is the problem child at school. I just couldn't believe it. She then said that Meg was the last baby to go to sleep and the first one to wake up and she woke the other babies up with her crying. My baby ran the teacher off....amazing! The good news is we identified the problem. The teacher wasn't putting Meg on the boppy pillow when she laid her down to sleep. Meg hates to lay flat on her back. So she did that today and she slept for about 3 hours. I did tell the teacher before I left this morning to please not shake my baby. That is my worst fear. I told her if she gets that frustrated to call me and I will come pick her up. She looked at me like I was a little crazy, but I didn't care!
This whole ordeal got me thinking about the time my sister and I fired our babysitter. My mom had this sweet teenager babysit us when she worked at the Wynnewood newspaper. One day my mom came home and Pepper wasn't there. She asked us where she was and Kena told her that we had fired her and that she left! Obviously my mom wasn't very happy and had to call her and beg her to come back. I think we were in grade school at the time too. Isn't that hilarious that she actually listened to us. I probably shouldn't say "us" I am sure Kena was the ringleader!

That's hysterical, both that Meg ran off the teacher AND that you and Kena fired Pepper. For a minute there I was afraid you were talking about me. I couldn't remember you firing me, but I guess it was possible that I blocked it out?!
Oh Andrea! We would've never fired you! I actually don't know why we would've fired Pepper either! I see her around town sometimes and I still feel terrible :)
You told the woman to not shake your baby?!?! HAHAHAHHHAHAHAH that's hysterical. NEVER shake a baby!
Well you hear about it all the time on the news! I go by the theory if I tell someone my worry then it won't happen. It is the same reason I have told people not to leave Brody in the hot car, etc. I know it is unlikely to happen, but it surely won't happen if I actually say it :) I admit that I am crazy!
You're not crazy, you're a good, protective mom! I just thought it was kinda funny! :)
I actually cannot believe that this woman TOLD you that your kid made her have to go home. How rude!! Come on, isn't the code of "She had a rough day." when they really mean "This kid is driving me crazy!" enough??? I'm glad you figured out the issue, though! Poor baby!
I'm in complete agreement with Kendy. I'm mad at ol' girl for telling you that and for saying anything negative about sweet Meg. You just bring that little girl to me!
I'm schocked that she told you that. I would tell her not to shake her either. Such a good mom. I can't believe this didn't come up on our walk. Wow, poor, sweet Meg.
