Miss Meg has been with us a little over a week and what a wonderful time it has been! We had to take her to the hospital three times this week to have her jaundice and weight checked. Each time the jaundice kept going up, but finally on Wednesday it went down and she had gained 3 ounces so we are now in the clear. We are so thankful for that because we were so tired of going to the hospital. Meg continues to be the most wonderful baby ever. I feel like I have the right to brag a little bit because I know what it is like to have a challenging baby....I greatly appreciate how easy she is and I feel like I have earned it! She only cries when she is hungry, she eats great, sleeps great, and isn't phased by noise. She is so sweet and cuddly and makes the most adorable faces. I forgot how much I love babies and I hope she continues to be like this!
Brody is fantastic too. He finally got to go back to school this week and really enjoyed seeing his friends. He has been enjoying his baby sister and has been a great helper to me. We have been so blessed to have meals brought to our house every night from our Sunday School class. As Bryson put it...we are really being spoiled. Brody has been gobbling it down...I think I have neglected my family of good food during the last 9 months!

Bryson got laid off from his current position at Baker Hughes on Thursday. This was obviously very upsetting to us and couldn't have happened at a worse time. The good news is that they gave him the option of taking a severance package or going back into the field as an MWD. We have decided that he will go back into the field. This means that he will be doing what he did when we first got married. He will work out on different rigs throughout Oklahoma and Texas. He will stay out there for the entire time that a job is going and will come home when the job is finished and until he gets sent out on another job. He will start this new position on the 16th of February. I am so sad that he will not be around and I know it will be so hard on him not seeing the kids everyday, but we will manage and hopefully this will only be temporary. We know this is happening to so many people throughout the country and wouldn't wish it on anyone. It is just part of life and we are so thankful they are giving him this option. We plan on enjoying this next week and spending as much time together as possible!

Scott and I are just 8 houses down so please do not hesitate to call if you need anything. And you know I only work 3 days a week and I can help anytime (watching the kids while you go to the store or whatever!). We would love to help you while Bryson is away on jobs. We need to get together soon so I can see that baby!
Oh this blog makes me so happy and so sad all at the same time! I just love Meg and am so excited that she's a sweet, easy baby, but I am devestated about Bryson's job. My family is praying for your family and I too am available for anything you need!
We love you guys!!!
