I never thought I was missing out on having just one child, but now that I have two I realize how much fun it is. It is wonderful getting to see all of the fun stuff Brody does and watch him grow and then get to hold Meg and just be mesmerized by her sweet face. It is like the best of both worlds.
So for an update on Brody. He has continued to do great with Meg. Bryson and I just can't believe how big he is and how lucky we are to have such a great little boy. Brody has done a number of funny things lately. For one, he ratted me out to Bryson last night. I guess it was a week or so ago I hit a curb while we were driving. Well Bryson was letting Brody drive in our neighborhood and he told Brody not to hit a curb and Brody said, "Mommy hit a curb". Anytime anyone asks him how he likes his little sister he responds by putting his hands way in the air and says, "Me big". He also loves to say he is awesome. And another favorite saying is "Me forgot" or "You forgot". He has been playing by himself really well and still does not appear to be jealous of Meg. He loves her and seems to enjoy having her around.
Meg is doing great. I can tell that she is getting bigger because she is now able to fit into newborn clothes rather than just preemie clothes. She is getting into a little bit of a routine. She wakes up around 8 and usually has an hour or two of awake time. She is perfectly content just laying on her floor gym and watching Brody play. She then sleeps off and on for the rest of the day and then has another awake period in the evening. She usually goes to bed around 10 and then wakes a couple of times in the evening. We realized that she was starting to have a little pain associated with gas and spitting up and so I have eliminated most dairy and all caffeine and she seems to be doing a little better with this change.
Last Thursday the kids and I loaded up and went to my parent's house for the weekend. Bryson was working and he came down on Friday evening. Meg did great traveling and enjoyed all of the attention she got over the weekend and Brody loved getting to play with his cousins. You can tell from the pictures that we all had a big time! When we got back home Saturday night Brody was so excited to have Valentine cards waiting for him. A couple of them had money in them and asked what he wanted to do with the money. He didn't have an answer. So I asked him if he wanted to put it in the basket at church the next day and he liked that idea. He laid the money out and put it in his pant pockets Sunday morning and was very proud to put his money in the basket when it came around. I thought it was so sweet and generous!

Very cute! I love the tutu pics. That is just too funny.
Great pics and sounds like things are just perfect! I can't believe how much she already looks like Brody. I think she even looks more like him now than the last time I saw her!
Ilena--Love the Valentine's outfit. It is so good to hear that you are doing so well and having so much fun with two!
Can't wait to meet Meg sometime. I will be trying to think of a time that we'll be around there or maybe a time when I can come.
