First Family Vacation

Since finding out that I was pregnant, I was determined for the three of us to go somewhere before Meg's arrival. We have all been places since Brody was born, but never just the three of us. I must have made this desire of mine very clear because Bryson arranged for us to go to Branson! Although he wasn't very excited about this destination, it worked out because it is a close drive and there are plenty of kid friendly things to do! So we packed up and left on Sunday morning. Bryson had never been to Branson before, but a lot of people told him before we left to look out for all of the old people. And boy were they right! We saw nothing but old people the entire time we were there and Bryson couldn't help but crack lots of jokes about the "geriatrics". Brody seemed to really connect with them though and they all seemed to love him. Thankfully Brody didn't pick up on any of the bad things that his daddy was saying and instead picked up another new line, "Thank you sir". I guess Bryson must have said this a lot on the trip and I noticed that Brody started saying this when anyone held a door open for us!

Brody really enjoyed trying to take picture of me and Bryson. Some were better than others, but we just thought this was funny. We have no idea why we were leaning like that!

Just being funny. I am surprised Bryson wasn't doing the exact same thing!

Having fun at Bass Pro Shop

Riding his bike down at Branson Landing

Getting ready to ride the roller coaster for the last time!

Christmas is already in full swing at Branson. It drove Bryson crazy. Silver Dollar City was beautiful and they even had a parade throughout the park. This was Brody's favorite float!

This is where Brody spent a lot of time on vacation. I can't believe we never thought about bringing the stroller. We obviously had no idea how much walking we would do!

A fun ride at Silver Dollar City. It was the one thing I got to ride!

We were so proud of Brody for riding so many rides! If you remember, it wasn't a fan of the rides at the State Fair....so we weren't sure what to expect. I think he may just be a ride snob. He likes the nicer stuff!

The teacups were his favorite!
