OU/TX Weekend

So Bryson and I got a mini vacation this weekend for the OU/TX game. We headed down Thursday night after dropping Brody off with Kena. I think this was the first time he stayed overnight with her and supposedly things went great. We certainly appreciated Matt and KK's willingness to keep him and I think Brody enjoyed the time with them and Hannah and Huston. He stayed Friday night and Saturday night with Mimi and Bumpy and he never seemed too concerned about us coming to get him when I talked to him throughout the weekend. When I picked him up today I could tell that he probably got spoiled a little bit. He told me he didn't get in trouble one time the entire time I was gone. How does that happen??

The weekend reminded me (as if I need reminded) that we have some of the best friends in the world. We stayed with Ted and Rikki and it actually felt like staying at a bed and breakfast. Very relaxing and I got three nights of wonderful sleep. We got to see a lot of other friends throughout the weekend including a number of the other pregnant wives, which was fun. We ate lots of great good and my sweet husband slept on the couch two nights because he wanted me to get the best sleep I could and I guess he thought that meant being in a bed by myself, and it was very nice!

We also finally got to meet who we hope will one day be our son-in-law, Cooper Cunningham. He is the most adorable baby ever (except for Brody, but I think they probably tie for this title) and is such a good baby (Brody was never called this). Bryson accused me of being a baby hog, which made me feel a little bad, but never bad enough to actually quit holding him! He was so happy and everytime I held him Meg would go crazy kicking. This says a lot since she is not really much of a kicker. While holding Cooper and while I was at the game was the most I have ever felt her move! I think I got a little too excited at the game and jumped up and down a little bit. This certainly got her a moving. I think I am starting to realize that football games are not the best place for a pregnant lady. The walking, the crowds, and all of that standing and yelling...it is just too much. My belly kept getting in the way. The guy in front of me elbowed my belly a couple of times and everytime I had to go to the bathroom I would try to squeeze through the crowds, but no matter how careful I was my belly kept bumping into people.

At the OU/TX game. I took this one for Brody!
I had previously claimed that the pig at Brody's birthday party was the fattest pig I had ever seen. I lied. This pig at the Texas State Fair was really the fattest pig ever. Bryson and I wondered if it was actually alive. If he was alive, I don't think he can walk.
Here I am with Libby and Rikki. Rikki is expecting her first baby in April. We are so excited for them and know they will be fantastic parents! Everyone kept hassling Mike and Libby to join the expectant club, but since they just got married in April I think they want to wait a little while!
