*There is this hot rod in our neighborhood and everytime we drive by it he sticks his hand up in the air and goes "Hot rod....yeah!!!" And it says it very loud and very passionately. He does the same kind of thing when we he is riding his bike by it. One day he actually stopped, stood up on the bike seat and stuck his hand in the air again and said the line. I think the hot rod owner was getting a little suspicious of us. The hot rod has been in the garage a lot lately!
*Bryson has been traveling some and working really long hours and Brody has really been missing him. His knew favorite line is "I want my daddy" and he says it very sad. He has a few variations of the this line including "I want to see my daddy", "I need my daddy", "I want to go pick up my daddy", and my favorite "I want my daddy NOW".
*And all of a sudden everything is "right now". He adds "right now" to the end of pretty much everything he is needing or wanting.
*Brody has also reminded me lately how much he repeats what we say. The other day he looked at me and said "Momma, you are wearing me out". Oops...do I say that to him that much? We also must be guilty of talking to other cars while we are in traffic/at lights because Brody has started saying things like "Come on car, go" and "Come on green light". He always adds wonderful agitated sounds to go with it!
*Brody and I went on his school field trip to the OKC Zoo last week and we sat by his favorite teacher, Pam, on the bus. She was telling me how much she likes Brody and about what he does at school. She said that he follows her around saying, "Wait Teacher Pam I coming". So apparently he follows her around all day and she tries to occassionaly hide from him so he will go play by himself. She says that he has gotten better, but I could tell during the field trip that he was much more interested in the teachers and where they were at, then what the other kids were doing.
More than anything lately I am reminded of how blessed we are and how lucky we are to have such a great kid. Brody and I went and met my best friend from college, Christi, at OSU Homecoming Walkarounds Friday night. I have done this with him the last two years and both times before were kind of a nightmare, but not this time. He was great and listened so well and just really enjoyed himself. Situations like this remind me of how far he has come and what a different little guy he is now that his belly feels better. I hope that with Meg I will be patient and remember during the difficult times that things do get easier with time.
My camera wasn't working very well, but here is Brody in front of the library and the orange fountain! He was very confused at how mommy went to school at OSU and daddy went to school at OU. I guess he will figure it out later!

Oh, I love the "momma, you're wearing me out" comment. So cute!
I love reading the funny stories and sayings of Brody. I'm glad that things went well at homecoming. Maybe next year we can finally meet up for it. (but you may not be able to go with Meg being so young) Maybe when our kids in in college...ha
