Brody has definitely taken after his dad and developed a love of hunting. They have been numerous times hunting deer, turkey, ducks, dove, and geese. It's such a natural fit for him. He loves the outdoors and he loves guns. The sitting still and being quite makes it a little tough on him but he has gotten a lot better this year. Back in February Bryson and Brody had the opportunity to go with Rob and Cooper to Texas to do a little hunting on a friend of Carolina's dads land. They were gone the entire weekend and according to my boys it was basically the greatest weekend of their lives!
In his element. Apparently they ate nothing but hot dogs, powdered donuts, and chips the entire weekend and I'm not sure they ever bathed!
The first day Brody managed to kill a coyote.
And then the next day he shot his very first deer! To hear Bryson retell the story is about the sweetest thing ever. Brody was so nervous that he kept telling Bryson that his heart just wouldn't get going pitter patter. They watched the deer for a long time and finally Brody got up enough nerve to take a shot and apparently it was a pretty good shot!

I love these two guys and how much they love hanging out together. Bryson is about the best thing ever in Brody's eyes and I love that they get to do so much cool guy stuff together!
