The weekend after Meg's birthday party was a day we had been anticipating for a long time! It was the Daddy Daughter Dance that Meg had been counting down to! And since Meg and Bryson would be occupied Brody and I decided to go on a date of our own to Dave and Busters! That morning we all got up and around early to head to Prague for the funeral of my great aunt's husband Ed. It was such a nice service and we all loved hearing stories that showed what a great guy Ed was. We enjoyed visiting with family during lunch and the kids enjoyed playing with their cousins. We headed back home hoping that Meg might dose off in the car but no such luck. We got home and she was in one of her moods. She said she didn't want to go to the dance anymore and wanted to go with me and Brody instead. I think her morning had left her a little on the tired and cranky side! I knew if she didn't go she would be regretting it and Brody had been looking forward to his time with me so we kind of made her go!
I was so sad that this was the only picture I could get of her! Bryson texted me a bit after their arrival to let me know that it was going ok although she still wasn't acting like herself!
Brody and I were having a blast playing games and winning tickets!
He hit the jackpot on this one and was so excited when 500 tickets spilled out!
He left with a Pokemon stuffed animal and a Dallas Cowboys football. He was very happy! We ended up meeting up with Bryson and Meg to eat dinner at Outback. Meg fell asleep in the car and slept through our entire dining experience.
The next morning I dressed her in the same outfit for church in hopes of getting some pictures! She was much more cooperative!
Tracey surprised them!
I finally got a picture of the two of them!
I was so surprised when I received a text with a picture of this newspaper clipping on Tuesday morning from a lady from church! It made my day. It was obvious they had a great time! Meg may give Bryson a run for his money some days but they sure have a sweet relationship!
I was able to snag even more pictures off the Oklahoman website! I have a feeling these will be in a wedding slideshow one day!
I love getting spend time one on one with the kids and I'm so glad we got to each have our special dates with them!
