The rest of our vacation

So after my pneumonia diagnosis I was a little unsure of what to do.  I didn't know whether to cancel the rest of our weekend plans or just push through and try to make it.  I ended up deciding not to cancel our plans because it would've messed up too many other peoples plans and Brody and Meg would have been devastated.  So mom hitched a ride on the Heartland Flyer and headed back to Oklahoma and me and the kids got checked in at the Gaylord Texan.  We were staying there with other friends to celebrate our dear friends finalizing the adoption of their baby!  We had been looking forward to this weekend of 6 months!!! Thankfully the Kite Family had a room that connected to ours and they helped take care of me!  Dan called in my prescriptions so they would be ready quicker and Jimieanne went and picked them up for me while I rested.  Dan took the kids swimming.  Such lifesavers!  Once I got some medicine in me I started to feel a little better pretty quick!  That night we joined up with everyone else for dinner.  Brody and Meg couldn't love the Kite family more and so they enjoy every minute getting to hang out with Kinley and Kayton.  Dinner was fun.  The Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders were taping an episode for their show (or for something) at the same restaurant we were at and they debuted the new calendar on the big screen.  It certainly provided extra entertainment for everyone!
Ready to hit the pool!
After the long day it didn't take long for this girl to crash hard!
The next morning we went and picked up donuts and had breakfast by the pool before swimming!

The favorite part of any hotel stay is pushing the buttons in the elevator!

The new favorite pose again!
We were supposed to be at the Ft. Worth Court House at 1:00 on Friday.  Despite leaving super early we ended up missing the entire thing.  I was so sick about it.  We encountered some insane construction/traffic, some alternate routes we tried weren't successful, and we had the wrong address plugged in the GPS.  We arrived an hour late and still had hopes that it would still be going on....but nope.  So since we all missed it we took a picture of us in front of the court room so that CJ would know we tried.  The rest of the weekend we were spending with the Kite Family at Jimieanne's parents house at Lake Texoma.  So we got back in the car and drove over 2 hours back to Oklahoma in more crazy construction and traffic.  By this point I was feeling 100% done.  I had over done and was feeling super sick.  I had never been so happy to pull into Oklahoma!  What I was most happy about getting to Oklahoma was that Bryson was meeting us there.  I was done trying to be a sick single parent.  I was thrilled reinforcement was there!  After a delicious catfish dinner we headed to their house and then out on the lake!

The kids thought it was so fun getting to ride in the back of Dan's pickup!
These two were so sweet singing "Call me maybe"

Gotta love the lake!
That night and the next day was spent tubing, skiing, building sand castles, swimming, and swinging from the Indiana Jones rope!
 Happy to see her daddy!!!

The entire Kite family are some impressive ski skills!  Kinley doing no hands!
Brody was brave enough to try it after watching Kinley.  Dan helped him out and then on the second try he really got going!
He loved it!

There was a lot of fancy moves on the tube.  Kayton and Bryson had us laughing so hard!
When we weren't at the lake the kids were busy playing and we all watched the Olympics and ate tons of yummy food!  We all went to church on Sunday morning and then packed up to head home.  This girls 11 days of vacation wore her smooth out!  We had such a fabulous time but we had to get home and get ready for school to start!!!
