At the beginning of the summer the kids and I went to the Norman Library to sign up for their summer reading program. We set a goal for each of them to read 100 books. When they reached their goal we could turn in their reading log and they would receive a medal, some wonderful coupons to local businesses, and a star to put up on the library wall. Only Meg was able to reach her goal. Brody did make it to 55 books, which is great, but not enough to get the prizes. Meg was super pumped when her big day finally arrived!
Listening to the librarian read off some of the books we documented reading!
At this moment Brody was reminding the librarian (as he did everyone who mentioned her medal) that she didn't really read all the books on her own. That mom read them to her.
Two stars! One for meeting her goal and one for her goal being 100!!!
Showing off her shiny medal! So proud of Meg girl. Hope she always has a love of reading!
