Since Meg turned the big 3 I thought I would give an update on what life is like with her so we can look back and remember!
#1-Life with Meg is fun!!! She is a hoot. She is constantly doing things that make me laugh. She makes silly faces, she says hilarious things, makes up dances, and when she is naked she sticks her bottom up in the hair and says, "Shake your booty, shake your booty!".

#2-She is independent. She has always been my more independent child but since turning 3 it is a whole new extreme. Of course she still needs help from me and asks for help at times, she can do a lot of things on her own. And that is just how she likes it. She picks out her clothes and gets herself dressed. She wants to fix her own hair and get her own drink. If she is hungry she will go find something to eat without me knowing that she was ever hungry. She loves to play in her room and just kind of does her own thing. I have to keep my eye on her because she will just go outside without me knowing it or go poop, wipe herself and have her clothes back on before I ever realize that she needed to go to the bathroom. And I'm attentive mom. She's just quick!

#3-Give the girl scissors and a couple pieces of paper and she will entertain herself for an hour. No kidding. Glue, glitter, and paper are the greatest things ever in the eyes of this girl. She also loves to "decorate". She moves all my picture frames around and some candlesticks. Sometimes she likes to throw paper around and say she is decorated. I don't even know where she comes up with this. It's not like I'm a big decorator or anything.
#4-I guarantee you that on most days she wears at least 4 different outfits. She is soooo opinionated about what she wears. Whatever I pick out is usually horrendous in her eyes. She refuses to wear any shorts or pants that have jean material or material similar to jean material. Or anything with buttons. Elastic waist only. Sweatshirts are downright appalling in her eyes and even t-shirts aren't that great. What shoes to wear is always a big issue. She cries everytime she has to wear the grey Y soccer t-shirt. If she doesn't like what she is wearing she will lay with her head on the floor and declare that it isn't beautiful and that she doesn't look pretty. Dramatic to say the least. Every Sunday morning in our house you will her say "I don't like this dress. This dress isn't pretty." followed by lots of tears!
#5-She has the most amazing imagination! She talks to her little dolls and princesses. Every morning she turns herself into a princess, me into a knight, and there is always a pretend dragon to fight. She makes up crazy stories. Crazy. She told her Bible School teacher that her daddy was drinking, fell off a boat, and died. She tells me random stuff all the time. She has an imaginary friend. Her name is Micah and she has a friend name Zicah. They appeared one morning when we were playing gymnastics. I thought it was funny. Micah is with us all the time now although she primarily appears when Brody is at school. Micah goes shopping with us at Target and we have to leave the seat open for her. When Micah wants out of the basket I have to help her out. She swings on the swings with us. You get the picture.

#6-Could she look more like her daddy? Crazy! She is such a happy child, unless she's not. And then the world stops. She cries every night when she realizes its bedtime. Every night. It's the same protest. If I close my eyes I might not be able to see. She says it over and over again. Or it's too dark. I can't see. She hates, hates, hates to brush her teeth. She acts as if you are trying to kill her. Seriously. When she gets hurt or mad she completely retreats. Runs into her room and slams the door. Then will come out happy as can be a few minutes later.

#7- If she likes you it is the greatest thing in the world. She will love on you and be sweet to you. I love seeing her be so sweet to her friends. If she doesn't like you good luck trying to get her to. She forms very quick opinions about what little kids she likes and doesn't. If someone is mean to her, her brother, or one of her friends. Watch out. She is not afraid to hit or kick. Her feet are her secret weapon.

#8. She loves her brother and I love that they play and get along. They have their days but the majority of the time they are a great source of entertainment for one another! They both are lost when the other is gone.
#9-She is very sneaky. She always unrolls the entire toilet paper roll, she loves getting into vaseline, lotion, and makeup. She always figures out a way to fill things up with water and dump them in the wrong places.

I love life with this girl. She just loves life and loves to make people laugh!
