Back in August (wow....I'm really behind in blogging) I was so very excited that one of our favorite families, The Moones, would be making a trip home from Germany! We hadn't seen the Moone girls since November of last year so we were happy that their trip home included a few days in Oklahoma. They arrived on a Thursday afternoon and Katy dropped the girls off so she could get her hair done. I was looking forward to a few hours of letting the kids catch up on all of their playing!

These two were 1 the last time they saw each other. Things had certainly changed. They loved playing with each other and I can only imagine the trouble they could get into if they were together all the time! Brody and Kennedy have always been so slow to warm up to each other every time they get together. Even when they saw each other on a very regular basis.

So while Brody was still warming up Kennedy and Meg played Connect Four

We played a lot of dress up

A cheerleader and a fairy. And you can see Brody eventually decided he wanted to play too!

Building blocks together. It was so fun to watch them all play together. I love these girls so much and so do Brody and Meg! Katy arrived back after her hair appointment just in time for dinner. We all loaded up and went to Chick-Fil-A, just like the good ole days! It was as if no time had gone by. Our kids ran around like crazy, we got lots of stares from other diners, and Katy and I did our best to catch up on life while trying to also keep up with the kids!

After getting the little ones bathed and everyone in their PJs we let them all camp out and watch TV for a bit. Then they all went to bed and Katy and I stayed up and watched Soul Surfer. We made it almost to the end before we decided it would be wise for us to go to sleep!

After donuts, a walk that got cut short because of some serious rain and lightning, and more playing the girls had to head out to run some errands and see some of their other friends. We ended up getting to see them a few more times before they headed back to Germany which made us all so happy!

Precious Girls!
We so enjoyed our time with the Moone Family and look forward to seeing them the next time they are in town! I am so thankful for Katy and her wonderful friendship. I love how God puts just the right people in your life at just the right time and I am so glad that Katy and I met when we did!
