Meg is now 2 months old and will be visiting her doctor tomorrow for a check-up and shots! She continues to get big and is developing quite a personality. She is pretty sociable and really likes people. I think she can't understand why we wouldn't all want to hold her 24 hours a day, because she would be perfectly happy with that. She loves for you to sit her on your lap and just talk to her and she enjoys standing up. She is pretty strong. I was worried for a couple of days that she was starting to be a demanding baby (like Brody was), but now she is getting back to being a sweet little angel. We enjoyed staying at MiMi and Bumpy's for 3 nights last week. Meg really enjoyed it because she did pretty much get held the entire time. Aunt KK discovered that Meg likes to be carried around facing out so that she can see what all is going on and she LOVES looking in the mirror or out a window. Since coming back home I have started putting her in her swing with the front door open and a mirror attached to the swing. That entertains her long enough for me to take a bath and get ready! She is also smiling a lot more and I can tell a laugh is right around the corner! I have also realized that Meg likes to go to bed early. Brody was the same way, but it just took us a while to catch on to this. She starts getting fussy around 6:00 or so and by 7:00 she is ready for a bath, to be in her miracle blanket, fed and then put in her bed. She is still sleeping about a 6 hour stretch and then waking up and then sleeping for another 3 hours. I am very lucky! And morning time is when she is happiest!

A little smileWhat Mr. Brody Jack has been up to.....
So Brody has got me a little on the concerned side. Last week he threw up four different time.s Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. There is no rhyme or reason to it and it leaves me completely baffled. I have started keeping a bag next to the bed so at least I don't have to clean up a mess. The poor kid...everytime he cries I start asking him if he is going to throw up and start trying to rush him to the toilet! On top of the throw up he tells me multiple times everyday that his belly hurts and that he is so tired. He will sleep 10-12 hours at night and take a 2 hour nap during the day and still say he is tired. I just don't understand. The sucrose test got moved to the 16th so maybe we will find out more then. If you have any suggestions on what might be causing this or if you like doing research on the internet....let me know what you find out!
Also during the last week Brody concerned me with the way he started to act. I am not sure if it was because he didn't feel good or if he was acting out because Bryson has been gone or it was simply him just testing me....but I had to step up my discipline game! Thankfully a couple of days of sitting on the naughty mat a few times has got him back to normal. So a few funny things that he said to me. I was laying down in bed with him trying to go to bed. We had the TV on (bad idea...I never do that) and he kept talking and moving around. I said, "Brody go to bed". And he said, "Brody go to bed". And I said, "Brody you need to lay your head down". And he said, "Brody you need to lay your head down". I couldn't believe my 3 year old was playing the repeat game. Then he started begging me for more milk and I kept saying no. I then said, "When mommy says no mommy means no" and he said, "Brody says yes and Brody means yes". It was at that point that I turned the TV off and left the room. Bryson has always worried that Brody couldn't defend himself against Huston when they start fighting. Well, I don't think we have to worry about that anymore. When Huston moved a chair the way Brody didn't want him to Brody just slapped him in the face. It was awful and of course it was when everyone in the family could see it. Perfect timing.
I have also had some other interesting conversations with Brody. Today when I picked him up from school I asked him who he played with and he said Lily. I asked him what Lily looks like and he said she was a girl with red hair and then said she's pretty. Maybe this is his first crush? Interesting that it would be on a red headed girl! He also asked me the other night where God is. I wasn't prepared and answered it all wrong. I said that he was in heaven and explained that heaven was up in the sky. He said he wanted to see God. I told him that you couldn't see God, but that God was in his heart. Wow...what a confused look that caused. He was satisfied with my answer though. A couple of days later he started telling me the story and ended it with, "God's in my belly, right?". He is probably going to start thinking that God is what is making his belly hurt so bad.
While down in Sulphur Brody and I got to spend some quality time together thanks to mom keeping Meg. We saw Monsters and Aliens and also went roller skating. I hadn't been roller skating in years, but for $3 it was a lot of fun. Brody had skates that went over his shoes and we skating for 2 hours. I have to admit...I was a little sore the next day!
Getting ready to ride the train with his Gingerbread School
Him and the boys from school playing on the train. I love watching them interact. He was so proud to tell me who all of his friends were and I was impressed that he knew all of their names. They all seem to like him too....so that is a good thing!
I love a sleeping baby

Meg is getting so big and is still so cute! You always have her dressed so darn cute, too! Well, Brody, too, of course :) I'm so sorry to hear Brody is feeling yucky...I'm going to ask Brandon's mom what in the world it could be. Maybe she can help??
Poor Brody. I hope he has a better week next week. Meg's smile got caught on camera. Yea! We will miss you guys this week and Kennedy will be stoked to play with Brody when we get home, and I will be ready to walk!
I continue to be so impressed with your regular blogging. I love seeing pics of Meg, as they grow and change so fast when they're little. Brody looks like he's really doing well in school. The stomach stuff - well you know how much I hate that for little Brody!!
Meg sleeps better than MK.
Poor Brody (and mom)! I hope you can figure out what is causing the thowing up and there will be a fix for it!
Loved the newborn pics of Meg and really like the quilt!
