The three of us enjoyed a great weekend. Brody had been sick Wednesday and Thursday with a high fever and a very swollen and bloody throat. I took him to the doctor and they were just certain that he either had the flu or strep throat. Thankfully they were wrong and he didn't have either! By the time the weekend hit we were ready to get out and about. We ate breakfast at Brody's favorite place (Ozzie's at the Norman airport) on Saturday morning with Gran B and then ran errands. Then Bryson finished Meg's room! That night we went to the Monster Truck show. I got permission from my doctor to go as some people had expressed concern about the noise and fumes. She was much more concerned about me falling down the steps and about Brody's ears! Brody loved the show and Meg did too. She was moving around like crazy, which I am sure was a result of how loud it was. Honestly there was no reason for me to even go. Brody is usually such a momma's boy, but he barely acknowledged me for the entire show. He sat in Bryson's lap the entire time and insisted that Joker (that is Bryson's new name according to Spiderman) cover his ear's so he didn't hear the loud noise. Really the only thing I did was get food and drinks (and then I was the only one who actually ate the food). We didn't make it home until after midnight, but being the great sleeper Brody is he still woke up around 8:00.
I ended up going into work for about 4 hours on Sunday to finish up some things. Good thing I did that because with the bad weather I wasn't able to make it in today, which was supposed to be my official last day. Sunday night we went to Target for our last big shopping trip and then Bryson took me out for a good dinner at BJ's.
Brody and I had to venture to the hospital today so I could do all of my pre-op stuff. I think Brody is excited and I know I am. They already put my hospital id bracelets on me and I can't take them off. I don't really understand it, but one of them has a chip in it and I feel like I have been given punishment of home arrest and this is my monitoring bracelet. This morning in the bathtub Brody had one of his monster trucks and then he told me that he is Gravedigger, Meg is Blue Thunder, Daddy is Hot Wheels, and I am Pastrana 199. I love that we all have Monster Truck names!
We have been a little concerned about Mr. Brody's stomach the last few days. He is starting to display some of the old symptoms that we thought we gotten rid of. He is complaining of his belly hurting and having some blood in his poop. He also has started doing the old thrashing around at night because of his tummy. Hopefully this is just some little bug or something, because this is not good timing for our baby to get sick.
Enjoy the pictures and say prayers that all will go well with the C-Section on Wednesday and that Meg will be perfectly healthy! I will post an update as soon as I can after she is born! I still need to post pictures of the two wonderful showers that were thrown for Meg. If only my computer had a CD drive I could do it! And can I just say that a nerf like bullett can still hurt very bad. I have been hit in my neck three times today and I just got hit in my forehead....ouch!

One of the Oklahoma Tough Trucks....the best part of the show!
