Godard Family Reunion

The weekend after I found out about the tumor we had our family reunion down in Sulphur.  I look forward to this every year because it is so much fun and I love seeing all of our family!
Friday night we all met up at the park.  The kids played in the nasty creek (Meg's monogrammed bathing suit was just never the same after that) and the adults enjoyed sitting around visiting!

Lots and lots of cousins!

I think this was most of everyone who was there that weekend but I think we were still missing a few!

Worn out after a fun evening!

The next morning some of us went horseback riding!

Although we had our helmets on and were ready to go there was a mix up with the lady running the place and they didn't have enough horses.  I ended up meeting up with Kena and we went shopping instead!

This girl loved it!

Uncle Ronald loves riding horses and he definitely knew what he was doing
As did Joe!

For lunch we all grilled out at mom and dads

And the kids swam

And they had more fun playing with their cousins in the treehouse!  We couldn't have had more beautiful weather that weekend!

And then that night we all gathered at mom and dads house again for dinner and then the minute to win it games!  Here they were trying to pick up marshmallows maybe with the Vaseline that was on their noses!

Then it was the kick the can competition.  This got pretty intense!

And then they had to blow ping pong balls into horseshoes.  That took some skill!

Mom won!

Then it was the shaking the golf ball out of the Kleenex box.  Made even better when Bryson turned on the bass in his truck.  I'm not sure any of us have laughed that hard before!

Then the dice stacking on a stick.  I won that one :)

There was a tie so Bryson and Corey had a sack race to see who the champion was.  Bryson won!

Then we did a kids version

And finally we ended the night celebrating Grandad and Sharon's birthdays!

Bob and Stephnie put together a really cute skit about them

And then everyone sat around and told stories about each of them.  It was so nice!

I am so thankful to have such a wonderful extended family and to be able to get together each year and catch up.  By Sunday when everyone left Kena and I were a little pooped out!
