The week before school was out Meg had her Pre-K Star performance! They had been working on this for so long and she was so excited that the night had finally arrived! When we got there Mrs. Kirk had a great video playing with all of their pictures from the year and then kids took their places on stage to show us the Top 10 Things They Learned in Pre-K!
Each kid had an opportunity to speak and then they did songs/dances as part of their countdown!
You can see from the pictures that it was just the cutest thing! Meg's personality really came out and you could tell she loved performing. I also got to witness her "leadership" skills as she let the others kids know where they were supposed to be and what they were supposed to be doing. I felt bad because it appeared that she was being a bit bossy but her teacher later told me they had asked her to help the others out if they forgot what to do!
They did this little partner dance that was precious!
So sweet!
And towards the end they played What A Wonderful World and the kids used the artwork they painted in the song. I got a little teary eyed!
She is definitely a Pre-K Star!
While I loved seeing how Meg excelled at school and loved it so much, my favorite part of the year was seeing her form such sweet friendships. She has always grown up playing mostly with boys just because that's what most of my friends have so this was the first time to her have girlfriends. It was refreshing to see how sweet she is with her friends!
