The day before school let out for Thanksgiving Meg's class had a little Thanksgiving Feast. Her teacher is the best about celebrating the holidays. It also happened to be PJ day because the kids beat the teachers in a cup stacking contest the day before. I'm still not exactly sure what that was all about but the kids both came home talking about it and promised me that they really were supposed to wear their pajamas!
Loved watching her before she spotted me in the classroom!
They had 5 stations they rotated to. First up was feather painting. I was impressed that the Vice Principal came to help with the party.
Meg and her "team". I loved how the little boy behind her was constantly doing Ninja moves. Anytime I tried to talk to him he got in a ninja stance.
Meg loved that Gran B could come to her party. They had a good time playing together during the game rotation.

And no party with Mrs. Kirk is complete without music and silly dances!
They could choose whether they wanted to be a pilgrim or an Indian. Meg chose pilgrim. She makes a pretty cute one!
Then they got to enjoy the feast they had prepared. A turkey made out of apples, grapes, raspberries, and raisins. And to wash it all down they had gobble juice!
Each child had to decorate a turkey at home and bring back to school. The judges awarded each child a special award. Meg won the "All that Glitters" award. It was fitting since she had about 5lbs of glitter on that turkey. I was amazed at how fancy some of those turkeys were. There are some talented parents (oh, I mean kids) in her class!
Proud of her turkey! They also told four things they were thankful for. Meg was thankful for 1) Looking at the stars in the sky 2) Talking to God 3) Friends and 4) Butterflies
Such a fun morning with little Miss Meg!
