We are gearing up for Christmas here at the Varner house and loving every minute of it. I love the magic of Christmas and just how excited the kids are about each special little thing we do! The first thing we did was get out all of the decorations. One night when Bryson was hunting me and the kids got everything put up. This was certainly the most in to decorations they have been so far!
Loved playing with the plush nativity people and animals
And were so proud of their stockings!
Then on December 1st they received a special package in the "mail". It was our elf Joseph who came back to be with us again this Christmas! He brought a Lego advent calendar that has been a HUGE hit with Brody. He loves putting together something every morning!
Later that morning we had plans to meet up with the Cunningham family to meet Santa at the new Devon tower! The kids were super excited. We left Bryson at home so he could work on his lesson for his Bible class he was teaching at church the next day. We missed him but he was able to spend the rest of the day with us.
Carolina and Rob had already snagged a spot in line and we took advantage of a short little wait to take a group picture!
Santa was great and both kids loved him!
Santa was listening good when Brody tried to explain that he wanted a truck just like his friend Big Cooper has.
And Meg was quick with her answer that she wanted a Barbie that takes pictures!
Next up was Cooper and Georgia. I think you can see what Georgia thought about Santa. Cooper seems completely unaware that his sister looks like she is being tortured!
After pictures with Santa we headed downstairs to see Mrs. Claus reading a story.
Then to write letters to Santa
And drop them off to be mailed to the North Pole
Final stop inside was to color cute Christmas cards!
Then we headed outside to see the pretty decorations and most importantly....two of Santa's reindeer!
Trying out Santa's sleigh! I absolutely loved the activities at Devon. It was such a fun morning and even more fun spending it with friends!
