My favorite day of the year turned out to be fantastic once again! There is nothing that I love more than being Brody and Meg's mom. I know I am far from perfect at it and I am constantly trying to do better, but they sure love me a lot regardless of how many times I mess up. And I have more fun with these two than I ever have!
Snuggle time before presents! They couldn't wait for me to open them!
Our tradition is for them to each pick me out a book! I love seeing which one they picked out!
Brody picked "Stuck". It is a cute little book about a kite getting stuck in a tree and the silly way the boy tries to get it down! It was certainly the kind of book he likes to read!
Meg received a little help picking out "If I could keep you little" and I absolutely loved it. I often feel like time is going by so fast and that I wish I could keep them little, but like the book says there is so much for them to do as they get big and that is special as well.
And Bryson surprised me with tickets to the Carrie Underwood concert in October!
Mimi had stayed the night with us so it was fun to celebrate with her too. Brody had painted her a candy dish at a local pottery place and was so proud to give it to her!
After church we headed to Remington Park to watch some horse racing with friends! I just love Baby Elle!
Gran B and Aunt B were able to join us too and that made it even more fun!
