Pre-K Field Trip

A few weeks ago Brody had his first Pre-K field trip to the Orr Family Farm. Meg was supposed to go to Mother's Day Out that day, but I thought since we were going somewhere fun that I would let her skip and come hang out with her brother instead!!!

It was a little chilly and windy that morning. Mrs. Kirk kept them busy singing songs during some circle time while all of the parents paid!
Miss Meg loved the animal barn

And so did Brody! It makes me so happy to see him around his school friends and watch him be so independent. I am so proud of him for coming SO far this school year! He is such a good kid!

Mrs. Kirk packed them each the cutest snacks in this little barns. Each snack had a cute farm name and there was enough in there for their siblings and grown-up! I visited with Jorge's mom while we were there and she said he didn't know any English when he started the school year and he know is completely fluent. I think that is just amazing!

An attempt at a group picture!

In the weeks leading up to the field trip they had been studying all about Oklahoma and learned the state flower, bird, rock, etc. Mrs. Kirk had them line up like the land run and hunt for a rose rock since that is Oklahoma's state rock. I thought that was such a cute idea!

Showing off his rose rock! The field trip was so much fun but so exhausting! I am not sure if I have ever been so happy to leave somewhere before!!!
